Teaching Amanda how to use her new machine was a piece of cake... she had been using AMAYA machines for a few years as an embroiderer for a company that she and her mother both work for. Amanda no longer works for the other company, she has spun off on her own to start her own company... Stitch by Stitch.
One of the most rewarding things about this training was the fact that I was able to teach Amanda how to many things that she didn't know was possible with the machine. Amanda hadn't really gotten training at the company that she worked for, so learning the proper way to hoop, how to change thread easier and one of the things that Amanda was most excited about learning was how to do 3D foam embroidery.
Amanda is a great young lady. She will be getting married soon and what a great way to start off her new life than with a new business.

Absolutly TNT Designs, Enid OK
In starting any business it is best to find a need a fill it and that is just what Melissa is doing. As the mother of two young boys who love baseball this mom and her friends have discovered how difficult it is to find someone in Enid to print shirts in a timely manner. So, with her youngest son starting full day kindergarten Melissa had the perfect opportunity to start her own apparel decorating business.
In addition to embroidery Melissa also has a plotter and is adding a little bling to most anything and she is awaiting the arrival of her direct to garment printer. Melissa is super creative and will have plenty of business to keep her busy!
One of the applications that Melissa was most excited about learning was reverse applique. After the first day of training she went out and purchased some baseball fabric and we created a design and stitched it out on a hooded sweatshirt. What a great look! I think Meslissa will sell a bunch of these. Check out the picture of the sweatshirt - she needed to finish trimming out the design, but it looks fabulous!
Happy New Year!
With the first 18 days of the new year already in the record books, I
have decided that it is high time for me to get started on my New
Year's resolution to do a better job of blogging.
The new year will bring lots of stories of trainings of the amazing new embroiderers that I will get the pleasure of meeting. If you have any questions through the year, please feel free to ask and I will do the best to answer you.
In the new year I it is my goal to have contests and giveaways, so keep your eyes open and we will do our best to get our readers involved!
